A residential high-rise building was damaged in one of the districts of Sumy as a result of an attack by a Russian strike drone on the night of September 7. This was reported by the regional military administration.
“Tonight, an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle of the Shahed-136 type hit a residential quarter in the city of Sumy. One private house, two shops and 20 apartments in a multi-storey building were damaged,” the message reads.
It is noted that there were no casualties or injuries.
Another enemy drone tried to attack the Sumy region at night, but it was discovered and destroyed by air defense forces.
On September 2, Russian troops shelled Sumy region: four people were wounded, houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged.
The information about the shelling is confirmed by the acting head of the community, Iryna Yukhta.
As a result of the shelling, there is damage to the farm buildings, and also a source of fire has arisen.
There is currently no information about victims of this shelling of civilians.
On the night and morning of September 7, the Russians shelled the border of Sumy Oblast. 40 explosions were recorded. Krasnopilsk, Velikopysarivsk, Novoslobidsk, and Seredino-Budsk communities came under fire.
Novoslobodsk community: the Russians were shelled (8 explosions).
Seredyno-Budsk community: shelling was carried out with anti-aircraft missiles – 16 explosions. As a result of shelling, six private residential buildings were damaged.
Krasnopil community: the Russians dropped 10 mines on the territory of the community.
Velikopysarovsk community: shelling from LNG-9 (4 explosions) was recorded.
On September 6, the Russians again shelled the border settlements of the Sumy region. A total of 309 hits were scored.
