For the second time since March 22, the Zaporizhzhia NPP remained on one power line. Last night, the 330 kV transmission line was de-energized due to shelling, as a result of which the additional power circuit of the station was put out of operation. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
As of March 23, the line was restored. The power plant’s needs are met in full.
After a large-scale shelling on March 22, the power line that feeds the ZNPP was de-energized. Then the Zaporizhzhia NPP was again on the verge of blackout for several hours – during a massive missile attack on Ukraine at 5:10 in the morning, the external overhead line of PL-750kV “Dniprovska” was disconnected. It connects the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP with the unified energy system of Ukraine.
However, power engineers were able to restore power to the external overhead line PL-750kV “Dniprovska” in a matter of hours. The Zaporizhzhia NPP was connected to the energy system of Ukraine, thanks to which the plant’s own needs are supplied.
