The Russians are intensifying repression in the occupied territories

The Russians are intensively carrying out filtering and searching for housing in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.

The chairman of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, told about it: “Our remaining residents see the next trend. Literally for several weeks, the enemy has become more aggressive in the temporarily occupied territories,” said the chairman.

According to him, the Russians have set up almost twice as many checkpoints on highways and in populated areas through which local residents filter.

“Filtration is a check starting from pockets, continuing with phones,” Fedorov noted.

In addition, the Russians are once again conducting door-to-door and apartment-by-apartment searches, wringing property from Ukrainians.

“They began to do it so aggressively that even their collaborators began to extort property. There is a real example. In occupied Tokmak, a teacher who agreed to cooperate with the enemy, a collaborator, came home in the evening, and some “Kadyriv people” already live in her house. So it took her several days to evict them from her house,” said the chairman of Melitopol.

Fedorov also noted that in Melitopol in November, the Russians recognized 58 apartments and houses as “ownerless”, which means that soon military or imported guest workers will move in there.
