The Russians in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine were instructed to prepare new lists of children who do not have guardianship. In this way, the Russians plan to carry out another wave of kidnappings.
Russians continue to kidnap Ukrainian children
As noted, the Russians do not return children to Ukraine, even if their relatives are in the free territory, and simplify the process of adopting these children in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The aim of this is the assimilation of Ukrainian children, i.e. the destruction of a whole generation of the nation, the Center of National Resistance emphasizes.
The message states that the primary responsibility for these actions is the dictator of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and his subordinate, Maria Lvova-Belova, authorized to the President of the Russian Federation for children’s rights.
It was on their instructions that tens of thousands of Ukrainian children were illegally kidnapped from the territory of Ukraine.
What is known about the abduction of Ukrainian children
For Children’s Day in 2023, the Online.UA team presented the documentary project “Mutilated Childhood”, which tells the story of Ukrainian children forcibly deported and abducted to Russia.
Ukraine has identified 20,000 children who were abducted to Russia or taken to Russian-controlled territory without the consent of their families or guardians.
About 400 children have been returned to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022, but the UN human rights agency has expressed concern that there is no system in place to facilitate the return.
At the same time, Russia claims to have “evacuated” 744,000 Ukrainian children. Since diplomacy with the Russian Federation does not work, Russia continues to illegally remove children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Lukashenka’s regime kidnapped thousands of Ukrainian children
More than 2,400 minor Ukrainians aged 6 to 17 were abducted and taken to the territory of Belarus after the start of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. This is confirmed by the results of a Yale University study.
What is important to know about the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia and Belarus
Journalists draw attention to the fact that as early as May 2023, the Prosecutor General’s Office announced an investigation into the role of Belarus in the abduction of more than 19,000 identified children from Russian-occupied territories since the beginning of the war.
It is also about minors who were taken to the territory of the Russian Federation.
According to the calculations of independent experts, the total number is much higher.
As you know, the Russian authorities cynically lie that they provide humanitarian aid to those who want to leave Ukraine “voluntarily” and reject accusations of war crimes, as does official Minsk.
Researchers from Yale University decided to study in maximum detail the role of the Lukashenka regime in committing this crime against Ukrainian children.
In the large-scale report of the authors of the study, it is stated that minor Ukrainians were forcibly removed from at least 17 cities of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine.
About 7,000 residents of Crimea were included by the Russians in the “base of extremists”
The Russians are expanding the staff of the “Centre for countering extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea”, in particular by attracting civilian secret employees, claims the Ukrainian Center of National Resistance.
“This center monitors information resources (social networks, Telegram channels, blogs, forums, sites with the possibility of commenting). Their main task is to identify “unreliable persons” and enter them into the specialized “AIS Extremist” database. Comments or even reactions to posts criticizing Russian aggression or expressing a pro-Ukrainian position can be grounds for inclusion in such a database,” the Center for National Resistance reports.
According to the Center of National Resistance, the Russians have already entered data on about 7,000 people in Crimea. In particular, more than a thousand are representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.
The Ukrainian Center of National Resistance adds that in Crimea, with the help of Roskomnadzor, information resources are being blocked on which information unfavorable to the Kremlin is published. Also, employees of the Center for Countering Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea carry out a special inspection of candidates for work in Russian administrations, as well as at critical infrastructure facilities.
Earlier, the Center of National Resistance reported that anti-Russian sentiments had sharply increased in Crimea, as evidenced by sociological polls ordered by the administration of the President of the Russian Federation.
