On the night of May 18, the Russians attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. In particular, Poltava region was under attack.
In one of the regional districts, the energy infrastructure was damaged as a result of the attack. This was announced by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Philip Pronin.
“The Russians continue to attack Poltava Region. On the night of May 18, Russian UAVs damaged the energy infrastructure in one of the districts of Poltava Region. There were no casualties,” he wrote.
Pronin did not specify whether it was a direct hit or the consequences of falling debris from the downed Shaheds. However, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously stated that during the night battle they shot down all 13 drones that Russia was using to attack Ukraine. In addition to Poltava region, they were destroyed over Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv regions.
