Shelling of Ukraine on August 4: there are hits and destruction in the border Sumy region
On August 3, the Russians shelled the Sumy region several times. The occupiers used drones and artillery. As a result, infrastructure objects are hit.
In particular, two infrastructure objects were damaged in Shostkinsky and Konotopsky districts. This was reported by the “North” operational command on August 4. So, in the village of Manukhivka, Konotop district, two explosions occurred at once.
“It was probably attacked by an FPV drone. As a result of the shelling, a critical infrastructure object and a post office building were damaged,” the message says.
In addition, five explosions were heard in the village of Druzhba in Shostkinsky district. It is likely that the occupiers attacked with barrel artillery.
“As a result of shelling, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged,” the military added.
Also, on August 3, Russian aircraft struck one of the settlements of the Sumy district. The emergency department and the local fire brigade arrived at the scene.
As a result of the attack, fires broke out in several buildings and premises at once.
Firefighters localized the discovered sources of fire and prevented their further spread.
An examination of the area where the strikes were carried out was also carried out.
