The Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia with “Shaheds”: the university was damaged

In the evening of November 17, Russian army troops attacked Zaporizhzhia with 8 “shaheds”. Half of them were destroyed thanks to the work of anti-aircraft defense, the hits of the other 4 drones were recorded in different areas of the city. As a result of one of the strikes, the dormitory and university buildings were damaged.

This is reported by the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.

As a result of the Russian attack, hostel No. 4 suffered the most. Dormitory No. 5, premises of the admissions committee, and university buildings No. 3, 4, and 5 were also damaged.

Not only students live in the dormitories, but also their relatives who left the occupied territories. Many families with children live there.

“Now the main goal is to provide them with suitable living conditions. Winter is approaching, and despite all the challenges, we will try to give people the opportunity to live in a warm house. The best option is to replace damaged windows with modern metal-plastic ones. The university appeals to everyone who cares for their support,” the university said in a statement.
