The Russians bombed the monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in Myropilya

On the night of March 19, Russian troops shelled Myropilya, as a result of which the St. Nicholas Monastery was damaged.

According to the Sumy Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), the shelling damaged the walls of the monastery, broke out windows and doors, and destroyed utility rooms. In the neighboring Yunakivska community, the symbol of the Sumy district, which is depicted on the district’s coat of  arms – the Nativity-Virgin Mary Church, a monument of national importance, was damaged.
