On the night of July 19-20, Russian troops attacked the border town of Semenivka in the Chernihiv region with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.

According to him, residential buildings were hit as a result of the attack.

“The number of victims is being clarified. The evacuation of residents continues,” the message said.

The representative of the Chernihiv border detachment, Halyna Shekhovtsova, reported that there were two “Shakhed” hits in Semenivka.

Sumy region

On the night of July 20, Sumy was attacked by three Shahed-136/131: two of them shot down the air defense force. The third drone hit the building of an after-school recreation facility, which caused a fire. This was reported in the Sumy regional military administration.

A nurse of the institution was injured, she was given medical assistance on the spot.

The State Emergency Service noted that, according to preliminary information, no people were found under the debris in the children’s health camp in Sumy, and the sources of combustion were eliminated.

The impact damaged the administrative building of the Security Service of Ukraine and two apartment buildings. The Russian attack led to significant destruction. 21 people were injured. Four people are in hospitals.

One building is beyond repair. Instead, a pile of bricks. And the second hit was in the roof of the two-story building. There, the entire top floor was destroyed by fire.

Currently, “Dobrobat” volunteers and rescuers are sorting out the debris.

They are currently working in the building where the 2nd floor was the most affected. There, after hitting the UAV, a fire broke out and everything inside was destroyed by fire. Volunteers take out everything from the inside and clean the premises from soot.

On the night of July 20, Sumy was attacked by three Russian Shaheds. One hit the premises of a children’s camp, another UAV was shot down by air defense forces, but it damaged another building in the camp. And the third drone was shot down by our military.

On the night of July 20, rescuers received information that Russian strikes on the regional center led to the destruction of buildings and subsequent burning on the territory of one of the children’s camps. Rescuers immediately arrived at the scene.

After assessing the situation, the employees of the State Emergency Service immediately began to eliminate the identified sources of combustion. At the same time, the damaged buildings were examined.

According to preliminary information, no people were found under the rubble. Combustion centers have been eliminated.

A total of 19 personnel and 7 pieces of equipment of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine worked at the scene.
