Russians take Ukrainian books from libraries and take them to the “Avangard” stadium in Luhansk
The Russian military continues to fight against all Ukrainian forces in the occupied part of the Luhansk region. In particular, Ukrainian books are not only banned, but also removed from libraries.
This was reported by the Center of National Resistance.
“In the best traditions of the Nazis, the enemy is trying to destroy the consciousness of the population in the temporarily occupied lands. “Yes, 9,500 books in the Ukrainian language were taken out of the libraries in the captured lands of Donetsk region,” the organization said.
It is noted that the list of extremist literature included books by Volodymyr Vyatrovich, Vakhtang Kipiani, Oksana Zabuzhko, and the Kapranov brothers.
At the same time, teachers in schools determine which books are “harmful”.
The Center of National Resistance claims that such books are taken away and taken to the “Avangard” stadium in occupied Luhansk.
Instead of books in Ukrainian, they bring Russian literature, 80,000 books in Russian were brought to Luhansk Region in March alone.
In Mariupol, the Russians dismantled a monument to the world-famous artist Arkhip Kuindzhi
In Russian-occupied Mariupol, a monument to the artist Arkhip Kuindzhi, whose museum was looted at the beginning of the full-scale war, was demolished. The monument was erected in 1984. It was located on Greek Square.
“This is yet another destruction by the Russians of the city’s cultural fund,” the Mariupol City Council wrote in a statement.
The message also noted that with the occupation, the Russians began to systematically destroy the cultural centers and monuments of the Ukrainian Mariupol.
The monument by Vasyl Polonik depicted the young Kuindzhi.
