On June 22, Russian troops shelled residential buildings in Kherson. Student volunteers who helped local residents also came under fire.
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson regional military administration and the Prosecutor General’s Office announced this.
“Today at noon, the Russian army shelled a residential building. Due to an enemy attack in their own yard, two people were injured,” Prokudin said.
It is known that as a result of the shelling, an 86-year-old woman and a 25-year-old boy are in serious condition. Doctors are fighting for their lives.
Volunteer students from Rivne, who were helping the Kherson people, also came under enemy fire. These are two young guys, 25 and 23 years old. They have injuries of medium severity, medics are helping them.
Due to the repeated atrocities of the Russians, the Kherson and Oleshkiv District Prosecutor’s Offices started a pre-trial investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
