The Russians have already issued Russian passports to about 80 percent of the population in occupied Donetsk region

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that only 20.8% of the population of the quasi-formation “DРR” remained to receive Russian passports, – propaganda media wrote on October 24.

“We inform you that 79.2% of residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic have applied for a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, certifying the identity of a citizen of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Russian Federation, and 20.8% remain to be documented,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation said.

The Russians admitted that they tried in every possible way to “passportize” the population of the captured areas.

“To organize the reception of applications for the issuance of passports in the region, temporary points for receiving and issuing documents were deployed, facilities for printing passports were used, the capabilities of mobile groups and mobile points and offices were used for receiving and issuing documents to citizens of the republic living in remote areas , as well as seriously ill, disabled and immobile persons,” the message reads.

At the same time, the Russians did not remind that people in the captured territories are forced to obtain a Russian passport in order to gain access to vital services.
