The Russians hit a convoy of grain trucks with a missile in Sumy Region, the 23-year-old driver was killed

On the night of Sunday, September 1, the Russians launched a missile attack on a convoy of grain trucks in the Sumy region.

The prosecutor’s office of the Sumy region reports that Russian propaganda calls the destruction of a convoy of grain trucks as the liquidation of military equipment traveling to Suja.

Law enforcement officials released photos confirming that the trucks were waiting to be loaded with soybeans and parked near the field.

The press service of the Sumy prosecutor’s office noted that on August 31, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Russians launched a rocket attack on a convoy of grain trucks that were on the Sumy-Kharkov route near the village of Verkhnya Sirovatka, Sumy district.

“As a result of the Russian attack, a 23-year-old truck driver was killed, and four other drivers were injured,” the prosecutor’s office reports.

It is noted that one truck caught fire and about twenty were damaged.

The prosecutor’s office is conducting a pre-trial investigation on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder under Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the Russians attacked Ukrainian grain and the logistics of the agrarian sector, in particular in the Mykolaiv and Sumy regions.
