The Russians hit civilian infrastructure with missiles and drones

About 80 settlements of Ukraine came under artillery fire.

Russian troops continue to ignore international humanitarian law, shelling not only the positions of Ukrainian troops, but also the civilian infrastructure of populated areas, terrorizing civilians.

On the night of September 18, the Russians struck Ukraine with air-launched cruise missiles and Shahed-136/131 type UAVs, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on the morning of September 18.

“As a result of combat work by air defense units, six cruise missiles and six Shaheds were destroyed. Unfortunately, as a result of such terrorist actions by the Kremlin, there are wounded among the civilian population, destroyed residential buildings and damaged civilian infrastructure. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified,” the General Staff reports.

The Russians launched 15 missile strikes and more than 70 airstrikes, carried out 47 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

Air strikes were carried out in Hirky, Pavlivka, and Popivka of the Sumy region; Hope of Luhansk region; Terny, Torske, Siversk, Vesele, Andriivka, New York, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Staromayorske of the Donetsk region; Verbove, Robotyne, Novodanilivka, Zaporizhzhia region; Odradokamyanka and Mykolaivka, Kherson region.

About 80 settlements in the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhіa and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

During the air raid on the night of September 18, a series of explosions rang out in the Khmelnytskyi region. Due to the launches of cruise missiles, the Russians declared an air alert throughout Ukraine. Before that, the Air Force warned that the occupiers had taken up to seven Tu-95ms bombers into the air from Olenegorsk.
