Russian troops continue to ignore international humanitarian law, shelling not only the positions of Ukrainian troops, but also the civilian infrastructure of populated areas, terrorizing civilians.
On the night of September 18, the Russians struck Ukraine with air-launched cruise missiles and Shahed-136/131 type UAVs, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on the morning of September 18.

The Russians launched 15 missile strikes and more than 70 airstrikes, carried out 47 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Air strikes were carried out in Hirky, Pavlivka, and Popivka of the Sumy region; Hope of Luhansk region; Terny, Torske, Siversk, Vesele, Andriivka, New York, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Staromayorske of the Donetsk region; Verbove, Robotyne, Novodanilivka, Zaporizhzhia region; Odradokamyanka and Mykolaivka, Kherson region.
About 80 settlements in the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhіa and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.
During the air raid on the night of September 18, a series of explosions rang out in the Khmelnytskyi region. Due to the launches of cruise missiles, the Russians declared an air alert throughout Ukraine. Before that, the Air Force warned that the occupiers had taken up to seven Tu-95ms bombers into the air from Olenegorsk.
