The Russians hit Odesa with drones

One person died. On September 6, Russian troops attacked the Izmail district of Odesa region with attack drones. This was reported by the Southern Defense Forces. During the drone attack, several settlements in the Danube region were hit. Destruction and fires were recorded as a result of the “arrivals”. Objects of port and agricultural infrastructure were damaged: agricultural enterprises, elevators, warehouses and administrative buildings.

After the attack, the regional military administration was informed that one person received life-threatening injuries. The State Emergency Service specified that the deceased was an employee of one of the enterprises.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported that a pre-trial investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war has been launched under the procedural leadership of the Izmail District Prosecutor’s Office.

“According to the investigation, during the night of September 6, 2023, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive drone attack on the populated areas of Odesa,” the message reads.

Explosions rang out in Odesa during the air alert, which lasted from 00:34 to 03:16. The Air Force informed that the danger is related to the threat of drone strikes.

On September 6, for almost three hours, Russian troops attacked the Izmail district with attack drones. Kiliya suffered the most, but other settlements were also destroyed.

Due to the impact, objects of port and agricultural infrastructure were damaged: agricultural enterprises, elevators, warehouses and administrative buildings. One civilian received severe, non-life-threatening injuries.

At present, rescuers are still continuing to eliminate the consequences of the terrorist attack.

After a series of shelling, which the Russians systematically inflicted on the city center, the ceiling of the building of the archaeological museum, which is an architectural monument, could not withstand the pressure and began to collapse.

According to them, the long-term attacks of the Russians on the center of Odessa lead to the destruction of old architectural monuments in the historical center of the city. The ceiling, which collapsed today in the archaeological museum, is a confirmation of the barbaric actions of the occupiers.

Russia continues to destroy Ukrainian cultural heritage. As a result of prolonged shelling, cracks formed on the ceiling of the museum, the structure could not withstand and partially collapsed, the message says.
