On the morning of November 14, the Russians attacked Slovyansk, Donetsk region. As a result, several high-rise buildings were damaged. A university and a kindergarten were also affected.
According to Stanislav Chaichenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the Donbas State Pedagogical University, one of the university’s dormitories was hit as a result of Russian shelling, probably a missile. In the main building of the university, windows and doors were broken, classrooms were damaged.
Fortunately, during the Russian terrorist attack, there were no workers in the premises and the only thing that resulted was the destruction of the premises.
The educational process at the university is conducted remotely. The university is in the process of relocation, the administration currently works in the city of Dnipro on the basis of another educational institution, says Stanislav Chaichenko.
“The city was shelled again. Two explosions in the Lisniy microdistrict… Fortunately, there were no casualties,” Vadym Lyakh, head of the Sloviansk city military administration, said. However, during the patrol, the patrol police crew came under fire. One policeman was wounded in the leg. The patrolman is under medical supervision. A company car was also damaged.
According to Lyakh, a number of high-rise buildings and the administrative building of the Donbas State Pedagogical University were damaged in the city. In addition, the buildings of a kindergarten and a supermarket, as well as two private cars, were damaged due to the Russian attack.
