At night, the Russians used an X-101 missile with a double cluster warhead in the city of Vasylkiv, Obukhov district. This was reported by military commander Andriy Tsaplienko.
According to him, cluster munitions from downed missiles were scattered in the south of Kyiv region. Cluster munitions have the form of balls. They explode when moving and can be scattered on the territory of Vasylkovo, Glevakha and neighboring settlements.
Probably, it was the missile that scattered the cluster munitions around the perimeter. Such munitions, similar to bullets with a size of about 10 cm in diameter, are designed to destroy light equipment in open areas and destroy manpower. They have a timer, so they can explode at a given time, or at the slightest movement. The use of such a charge in the Kh-101 missiles shows that the Russian Federation is deliberately trying to cause as much damage as possible to civilians in the event of the missiles being shot down and falling.
The firefighters, who were on their way to the call on the morning of June 12, ran into such a combat unit, as a result of which the official car was seriously damaged. Fortunately, the rescuers themselves were not injured.
Local residents are urged not to touch submunitions, and in case of detection of such elements, to notify law enforcement authorities.
