On the night of April 9, the Russian military once again shelled Zaporizhzhia. One of the rockets hit a private house and killed a 50-year-old man and his 11-year-old daughter.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that employees of the State Emergency Service rescued a 46-year-old mother from under the rubble, who was handed over to emergency doctors. The eldest daughter of the family was visiting. She is alive, the State Emergency Service said.
This was announced by the secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, Anatoly Kurtev.
Windows and roofs were damaged in dozens of neighboring houses.
Also, according to the information of the secretary of the city council, one woman was hospitalized. Another person received medical assistance on the spot. The search and rescue operation was completed at 8:00 a.m. on April 9.
Three residents of the Zaporizhzhia region were killed, five more were injured as a result of Russian attacks on April 8. Zaporizhzhia, Orihiv, Gulyaipole and 15 other settlements became targets for Russian shells: one missile attack, four air attacks, five UAV attacks and 46 artillery attacks. On April 8, several dozen objects were destroyed or damaged: apartments, houses, commercial buildings.
