The Russian Federation plans to include the navigable section of the waterways of the Kherson region in the List of inland waterways of the federation.
The ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk are included in the Register of Sea Ports of Russia, and a section of the waterways of the Kherson region is planned to be included in the “List of Inland Waterways of the Russian Federation”, said the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaliy Saveliev.
“The ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk are included in the Register of Sea Ports of Russia… The process of including the navigable section of the waterways of the Kherson Region in the List of Inland Waterways of the Russian Federation has also been launched,” he said.
The Center of National Resistance wrote that the Russians were exporting ore from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine using the Mariupol port.
Almost a year ago, they seized the Zaporizhzhia iron ore plant, from which ore is exported through the port of Mariupol. The sale of stolen Ukrainian ore is carried out by structures related to the FSB of the Russian Federation, under whose patronage the looting of Ukrainian subsoil is taking place.
The Russians also continue to export grain from the temporarily occupied territories to Syria. The stolen grain is transported in two ways: by the Tokmak-Berdyansk railway, where it is then transported through the port to the Syrian Tartus. Another way is to take grain to the port of Sevastopol in Crimea, from where it is transported further to Tartus.
