The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has launched an investigation into yet another war crime committed by the Russians. As a result of shelling of Toretsk, which took place on Saturday, November 11, two civilians died. He targeted the Russians in residential areas of the city.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office. It is noted that the Russians, most likely, fired from the artillery.
A criminal case was initiated under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This is a violation of the laws and customs of war.
Thus, according to the investigation, on the morning of November 11, Russian troops once again struck Toretsk. Apparently, they used artillery.
Russian shells hit residential buildings. This is a private sector and apartment buildings are located next to it.
“Two people – a 61-year-old woman who was walking down the street and a 65-year-old man who was riding a bicycle – came under the barrage of Russian fire. The injuries they received turned out to be incompatible with life,” the press service of the prosecutor’s office notes.
In addition to the two civilians killed, the shelling also hit a material school. As a result of the explosions, windows and doors of residential buildings and farm buildings were shattered, floor slabs were destroyed, and roofs and roofs were mutilated.
“Prosecutors are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian Armed Forces,” summarizes the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
