In the period from October 6 to 12, specialists in the Donetsk region found 58 damages to gas networks as a result of hostilities.
This was reported by the Donetskoblgaz joint-stock company.
“In the Donetsk region, the number of damages to gas networks due to hostilities has sharply increased. Last week, from October 6 to 12, specialists from the Donetskoblgaz joint-stock company recorded 58 damages to gas networks caused by shelling of settlements in the region,” the report says.
For comparison, a week earlier there were 28 such cases, that is, the number of damages more than doubled.
Sloviansk, Druzhkivka, Lyman and Kramatorsk suffered from shelling by Russian troops, where hundreds of subscribers were left without gas due to damage to the infrastructure.
Thus, in Sloviansk, more than 240 consumers remain without gas supply, in Druzhkivka – more than 60.
The company provided data on the actual damage to the networks. In particular, three damages were found in Kramatorsk, in Sloviansk – eight, in Druzhkivka – 21, in Lyman – nine.
Damage was also recorded in the settlements of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, Osynove, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Mykolaivka.
Despite the difficult security situation, gas industry specialists continue to work around the clock, performing restoration work in frontline communities, Donetskoblgaz assured.
Donetsk region is under constant shelling by Russian troops, almost every day the Russian army kills and injures civilians, destroys houses, enterprises, energy, gas and other infrastructure facilities. Donetsk region has the longest front line – about 300 km.
