The Russians are shelling the area with various types of weapons.
On May 30, Russian troops carried out 17 shellings of eight border communities of the Sumy region. 68 explosions were recorded. There are wounded and dead, the Sumy Regional Military Administration informs.
The Russian army fired artillery, mortars, rocket launchers, and drones at Velikopysarivsk, Myropilsk, Seredino-Budsk, Krasnopilsk, Esmansk, Druzhbivsk, Shalyginsk, and Putivlsk communities.
As a result of a rocket attack on the Krasnopil community, two people were killed, five more local residents were injured.
In the Seredyno-Budsk community, one person was injured due to mortar shelling.
The spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, noted that the Russian army has some of its units and equipment near the Ukrainian border in the Sumy region, but it does not have enough forces to achieve its strategic goal.
