In the temporarily captured territory of Donetsk region, the Russians have already taken 300,000 residential apartments of Ukrainians who left. This was reported by Ukrainian military officer Vitaly Ovcharenko.
The leader of the so-called “DPR” Denys Pushylin signed a decree to seize 300,000 apartments located in the territory of occupied Donetsk region.
On September 29, 2022, the day before the DPR joined the Russian Federation, he signed the resolution “On some issues of the transfer of property to the DPR.”
The document states to confirm the property list, but the list itself is classified. In occupied Donetsk region, people found out that they cannot find out information about the list of apartments and how it was formed.
“This Resolution No. 341 is not publicly available. But according to information, to date, this list includes 300,000 (three hundred thousand) apartments and houses of residents of occupied Donbas! In fact, this property has been seized, and those residents of Donetsk who want to register their housing in the Rosregistry will not be able to do so, because the property is under seizure,” says the message of the Military Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Local residents are outraged by such a decision. They create petitions, appeal to the so-called “court” and even complain to Putin.
A resident of occupied Makiivka, who lost her son and husband in the war, said in her appeal that her mother’s apartment was taken by the Russians.
