The Russians plan to send the first batch of stolen Ukrainian coal abroad through the port of Mariupol. This was stated by the Russian official Andriy Chertkov, seconded to the Russian Federation for the position of “first deputy head of the government of the republic”.
He noted that the administrations of the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which are not under the control of the legal authorities, have set up logistics through the Mariupol port.
“We want to send the first batch of coal abroad, to try how we can transport it not through Novorossiysk, but through Mariupol,” Chertkov said.
The Russian official did not specify which countries are ready to buy stolen coal. This information was announced by the “Minister of Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry of the LPR” Denys Yarosh. According to him, “Turkey and North Africa can become buyers of Donbas coal.”
