The Russians plan to transfer 300,000 tons of cargo through the port of Mariupol in 2024

For this purpose, preparatory work is currently being carried out regarding the infrastructure of the port.

In the port of occupied Mariupol, the Russians intend to process about 300,000 tons of cargo in 2024.

This was announced by the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Sea and River Transport (“Rosmorrichflot”), Andrei Tarasenko.

According to him, preparations for the expansion of the cargo nomenclature are currently underway in the territory of the Mariupol sea trade port, in particular, we are talking about the cargo of the mining and metallurgical complex.

“Today, the entities are preparing for the launch of four domains. For this, it is necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply of the relevant components. This should be ore, coke, coal, etc. We are now preparing for this variety of cargo, clearing the sites and launching,” said the Russian official .

Earlier it was reported that the port of temporarily occupied Mariupol during the first half of 2024 illegally handled 160,000 tons of cargo.

In 2023, the total volume of transshipment of stolen Ukrainian goods through the port was about 150,000 tons.
