The Russian army attacked Kharkiv from the air. Chairman Ihor Terekhov announced this.
According to him, a shell hit by the occupiers was recorded in one of the districts on the outskirts of the city.
Later, Terekhov wrote that, according to preliminary information, there is an arrival of a private residential building.
“Currently, we know about one injured person and a fire,” he informed.
The head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, clarified around midnight, referring to medical data, that as a result of the Russian strike on Kharkiv, one person received shrapnel wounds.
“A woman also turned to doctors for help – an acute reaction to stress. Currently, specialists are providing the victims with all the necessary assistance,” he wrote.
In late August – early September, Ukrainian servicemen launched a counteroffensive in the south and east of the country. Most of the occupied territories of the Kharkiv region were liberated during this operation. By September 27 (one month after the start of the offensive), Ukraine de-occupied 454 settlements in the region.
As of February 3, 2023, 29 settlements in the region remained under occupation, the regional military administration reported.
