On October 2, Russian troops shelled Kherson with artillery again.
Around 10:00 a.m., the Russians fired at the transport company. Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, announced this.
Residential quarters of the city also came under fire.
According to Prokudin, as a result of shelling of the city, four people were injured, two of them are in serious condition.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko gave details about the victims:
A police patrol car came under fire. The blow was so powerful that it pierced the armor. Two policemen were injured. They are hospitalized, one of the patrolmen is in an extremely serious condition; during the morning shelling, KORD special forces managed to rescue a civilian whose leg was torn off under the continuous explosions. The victim was transferred to doctors, his condition is critical; the fourth victim’s injuries are not serious, he is receiving medical attention. Kherson is shelled every day. Police and rescuers are with people every day. At the cost of one’s own health and sometimes one’s life, the minister emphasized.
