
The Russians continue their attacks on Ukrainian cities. So, the Sumy airport came under Russian attack.
As a result of the shelling, the building was damaged, and there were also casualties. Oleksiy Drozdenko, the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, stated this.
According to the head of the Sumy city military administration, on April 8, the Russians struck civilian infrastructure, including the airport.
Drozdenko explained that as a result of the Russian attack, the structure’s building itself was damaged. Fortunately, there are no victims.
He noted that there are three victims. They were damaged to varying degrees. All were provided with medical assistance, there is no threat to life.
In addition, the head of the Sumy city military administration outlined the extent of the destruction. According to him, as a result of the Russian attack, the windows in the airport were damaged, and the grass caught fire. Drozdenko noted that it was a small area – 150 square meters. He emphasized that the fire was quickly extinguished.
