On November 18, two people were killed as a result of shelling by Russian troops in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine informed about this.
“The troops of the Russian Federation shelled the city of Kostyantynivka with barrel artillery. Apartment buildings were in the affected area. As a result of the Russian strike, a woman and a man died from injuries incompatible with life. Another man and an elderly woman were injured. They were provided with medical assistance,” – reads in the message.
The Prosecutor General’s Office noted that the victims were outside during the shelling.
As a result of shelling, facades of residential buildings and cars were damaged.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the fact of a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The regional prosecutor’s office specified that a 61-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man were killed, and a 46-year-old and an 89-year-old woman were wounded.
According to the city’s military administration, the Russians shelled Kostyantynivka with 152 mm artillery.
Prosecutors take all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the Russians killed 1 more person today in Siversk – the city was also subjected to artillery shelling.
