On the evening of Thursday, May 2, Russian troops shelled the village of Novoosynove, Kupyan district, Kharkiv region. A 66-year-old man died as a result of an enemy attack.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov. The details were also disclosed in the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The Russians fired around 19:00.
“A 66-year-old man died on the territory of a private household as a result of the Russian shelling of the village of Novoosynove, Kupyan district, which took place at 19:00,” Sinegubov said.
Private houses and farm buildings in the village were also damaged as a result of the attack.
Under the procedural leadership of the Kupyan District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkiv Region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Prosecutors and police investigators are doing everything possible to document war crimes committed by members of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
