On the afternoon of November 24, the Russians attacked the village of Dniprovske, Kherson region. Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the regional military administration, said: “At around 4:00 p.m., the Russians shelled the village of Dniprovske. They fired artillery. A 50-year-old local resident received non-life-threatening injuries. He was on the street at the time of the attack.”
Also, according to the head of the regional military administration, a 44-year-old woman was sent to the hospital. She has an explosive injury, shrapnel injuries to her stomach and arm. The victims are provided with medical assistance.
The Russians captured Kherson and almost the entire Kherson region in February-March 2022. In November 2022, the defense forces of Ukraine liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, together with the regional center, from the Russian occupiers.
After that, the Russians began systematically shelling Kherson and other liberated settlements in the region. In particular, the Russians use drones.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in his evening address on September 27, noted that recently Russia has been shelling Kherson, Beryslav, and villages of the Kherson region with particular brutality. On the anniversary of the liberation of Kherson from the Russian occupiers, on November 11, Zelenskyi promised that the defense forces would respond to the Russian army’s attacks on Kherson and the Kherson region.
