On June 22, Russian troops attacked the ecopark near Kharkiv. As a result of the arrival there is destruction.
This was reported by its founder, Oleksandr Feldman:
“Unfortunately, the latest massive strikes by guided aerial bombs on Kharkiv did not miss our Ecopark either. We understood that this could happen, we have been evacuating our animals to safer regions for more than a month. The strikes fell on the part of the park that has been in the park for the past year and a half stage of reconstruction and was not working – a restored kennel for mothers and babies, a large warehouse with grain and hay, dozens of enclosures for the dogs of our “Good House”. Fortunately, there were no people or animals in this area, Feldman said.
According to him, the animals did not die from the impact itself, but the deer and deer died from fear and hitting the fence.
“For almost two years, we have piece by piece restored everything that was destroyed in the first six months of the full-scale invasion. We have already rebuilt a lot, brought some of the animals home. And now we are back to the same thing: we take out our pets and count the losses. But the Russians don’t care about us don’t break it,” says the founder.
As reported, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the ecopark, located on the territory of the Malodanyliva community of the Kharkiv district, was in the line of fire. Russian shelling killed six people there (employees and volunteers, including a 16-year-old boy) who were feeding and trying to take out the zoo collection.
Some animals were shot by Russians in enclosures. The complex began to be rebuilt, gradually returning the animals from the evacuation.
On May 14, the administration of the complex urged visitors not to come due to the threat of Russian strikes.
