The Russians struck Bogodukhov. A man died on the eve of his birthday, a teenager was among the victims

On August 22, the Russians struck the town of Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv region, one civilian was killed, and at least 8 others were injured. This was reported by the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration and the Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the preliminary data of the prosecutor’s office, the Russian army used Tornado-S rocket launchers for the strikes. The city was shelled at approximately 3:30 p.m.

“A 56-year-old man, who was fighting in the garden during enemy strikes, died. He would have turned 57 tomorrow,” the message reads.

Eight more people were injured, including a 15-year-old boy. The teenager was hospitalized with a shrapnel wound to the left hand.

Multi-apartment and private residential buildings, commercial buildings, premises of two civil enterprises, cars were damaged. Also, as a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in the forest of the village of Semeniv Yar, Bogodukhiv district, with an area of ​​3 hectares.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
