Fires caused by shelling by the occupiers occurred between 6:00 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. in the Kupyan district of the Kharkiv region on the territory of the Dvorichan community.

The private sector was hit. The total area of ​​the fire was about 500 square meters. A private house, 2 outbuildings, and 3 garages were taken over, the Department of Emergency Services in the Kharkiv region reported.

“Rescuers of the 14th and 44th State Fire and Rescue Units fought the fire under the threat of repeated fire. The last source of fire was extinguished at 10:05 p.m.,” the report says.

At 1:00 p.m., rescuers from the village of Dvorichna conducted a survey of the territory that was shelled by the Russian invaders. They discovered that the store and the fence of a private household were damaged. There were no fires or casualties.

“Today marks exactly 10 months since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. All these 10 months, Kharkiv Region has been heroically resisting the invaders, destroying the enemy’s manpower and equipment every day,” Synegubov said.

He reported that the Russian occupying forces continued to fire on the civilian population of towns and villages in the border regions and settlements near the contact line.

“Yesterday around 6:00 p.m., as a result of shelling in the village of Dvorichna in the Kupyan district, a residential building, outbuildings and garages were damaged. Fires broke out. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” Sinegubov wrote.

In addition, according to him, during the day the occupiers fired artillery, tanks and mortars at the districts of Guryev, Veterinarny, Kudiivka, Hoptivka, Staritsa, Ogirtsevo, Vovchansk, Ambarny, Novomlynsk, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabaivka, and Krokhmalny.

“There are no data on wounded civilians,” Synegubov wrote.

Russian troops have been on the territory of the Kharkiv region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine – from February 24, but they could not take the regional center.

As of October 25, 1.8% of the region’s territory (34 settlements) was under occupation, the Regional Military Administration noted. On December 8, the head of the Regional Military Administration reported that 29 settlements remained to be de-occupied in the Kharkiv region.

The occupiers continue to shell the populated areas of the Kharkiv region on a daily basis.

On December 23, during the day, the village of Dvorichna in the Kupyan region was repeatedly subjected to mortar and artillery fire. Shell explosions damaged a shop, a private house and an outbuilding caught fire.

The city of Kupyansk also came under artillery fire. The premises of the enterprise were damaged: the shock wave knocked out the windows, debris broke the fence.

The Russian army used similar weapons to attack villages in the Kharkiv district. In the village of Kozacha Lopan, farm hangars were damaged as a result of shelling.

In the direction of Chuguyiv, the enemy repeatedly fired artillery at the town of Vovchansk. It was done without destruction and human casualties.

Investigative and operational groups and the management of territorial police departments worked at the scene of the events. The law enforcement officers recorded the consequences of the shootings and seized physical evidence.

According to the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
