Two people were killed and five were wounded as a result of Russian shelling of Sumy region on February 24. The Russians fired artillery and drones.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
“Today, at about 16:00, the Russians struck a residential area of the regional center with drones. As a result of the explosion, a man was killed, another person was wounded,” the National Police said.
According to law enforcement officers, on February 24, the enemy carried out an artillery shelling of the village of Shevchenkove, Sumy region. As a result of the attack, a local resident, a 44-year-old employee of a local enterprise, died. Four more people were injured.
The National Police added that an investigative and operational group, explosives technicians, rescuers and other specialized services are working at the scene. The injured were provided with medical assistance.
