In Russia, which is 28 times larger than the area of ​​Ukraine, there was no place for the evacuated Russians from the Kursk region.

Oleksiy Smirnov, Acting Governor of the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation, said that he agreed to evacuate the residents of the Kursk Region to the Russian-controlled territories of the Zaporizhzhia  Region. According to him, the occupied region can share its experience, because it lives in the conditions of military operations.

Kursk Region Governor Oleksiy Smirnov agreed with Yevgeny Balytskyi, a pro-Russian separatist and appointed head of the occupied . Zaporizhzhia  Region, to evacuate residents of Kursk Region. “We discussed the current situation in Kursk Region and possible measures to improve the security of our citizens. Zaporizhzhia Region is a region that lives under martial law, fights against Ukrainian Nazism every day, has vast experience in both military operations and volunteer work, and this experience can help us,” said Smirnov. The Russian politician then said that residents from the fighting zone in the Kursk region will be relocated to the occupied territory of Ukraine.

“One of the key topics of the conversation was the help in accommodating displaced persons from the border areas. Yevgeny Balytskyi suggested using sanatoriums and boarding houses on the shores of the Sea of ​​Azov, located from Berdyansk to Kyrylivka, for this,” writes Smirnov.

According to him, the first flights from the Kursk region to the temporary accommodation points of the  Zaporizhzhia  region will be completed in the near future.
