The death of two local residents is being investigated in the Sumy region. They were planning to evacuate from a dangerous region.
On January 26, law enforcement officers found the bodies of a 62-year-old man and his 86-year-old mother in the village of Ponomarenky, the Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine reports.
It is known that the son and his mother planned to evacuate from the border community on December 9, 2024. Since then, they have not been in contact.
Previously, people died as a result of another Russian shelling. The Prosecutor’s Office has already launched an investigation into the incident for war crimes that caused the deaths.
