Two volunteers who helped with the evacuation disappeared in Vovchansk. Probably one of them died.
Serhii Bolvinov, head of Kharkiv region police investigators, reported this.
According to him, the volunteers had to evacuate the family from Vovchansk in their own cars. However, they did not have time to reach their destination – they disappeared.
The volunteers disappeared on May 10, when massive shelling began in the city and many people decided to evacuate. The head of the Vovchan city administration, Tamaz Gambarashvili, told about it.
According to him, the volunteers went to Vovchansk on their own without informing the police or the city council about their intention. The head of the city’s military administration noted that it was very dangerous to go to the northern part of the city at that time.
The public organization, which sent volunteers, reported the disappearance of two people.
According to him, the colleagues of the missing volunteers wanted to go in search, but they managed to refuse.
The head of the city military administration called on all volunteers and those willing to help to coordinate their actions with the police, the administration or the coordination center.
