Zaporizhzhia region remains under intense fire from Russian troops, who continue to rely on unmanned aircraft. In the last 24 hours alone, the Russians have used a record number of UAVs, trying to completely paralyze life in frontline and rear communities of the region.
The situation at the front remains extremely tense. During April 6, the Russians launched hundreds of strikes on 42 settlements in the region. The Russians focused on the use of FPV drones (570 units). In addition, 197 artillery shells, 17 air strikes and 4 MLRS shells were recorded.
Both the frontline Orikhiv and Hulyaipole, as well as the settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region: Kushugum, Vilnyansk, Bilenke, Rozumovka and Lysohirka, were under fire. In total, the police received 73 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure.
Russian troops continue to practice terror against civilians. Yesterday, the Russians directed strike drones at the private sector and civilian transport.
In Kushugum and Preobrazhenka, three men aged 36, 42 and 73 were injured as a result of hits on household property and a car.
Investigative and operational groups of the police and the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine documented the consequences of the attacks. Criminal proceedings have been opened on the facts of war crimes (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Despite the difficult security situation, the evacuation of civilians from the most dangerous areas continues. On April 6, law enforcement officers managed to take out four people (a man and three women) from Komyshuvakha, Zarichny and Yurkivka.
The police once again urge residents of frontline villages not to ignore the danger. The Russian tactics of massive use of drones make being in open areas and traveling on roads deadly risky.
