
Due to the massive shelling by the Russian Federation on the night of February 3, damage to transport infrastructure facilities was recorded in three districts of the city in Kyiv.
According to the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration, at the Darnytsia metro station, a blast wave damaged the wall of an office building in the lobby, and through holes were found in two windows in the ticket office. In addition, in the Dniprovskyі district, glass was damaged in one of the office buildings of the Kyivpastrans utility company.
In the Pecherskyі district, falling debris and explosions partially damaged the wire and suspension elements of the trolleybus contact network. Energy service specialists are already working on restoring the damaged areas to ensure uninterrupted public transport. At the same time, the Kyiv City State Administration notes that traffic light facilities in the capital remained intact, and experts continue to inspect the outdoor lighting network.
The nighttime combined attack by the Russian Federation has become one of the largest since the beginning of the year, with five districts of the capital under attack. In addition to transport facilities, residential buildings, a kindergarten and a gas station were damaged. The elimination of the consequences of the shelling is currently underway, and the number of victims in the city, according to the latest data, has increased to five people.
