“Truce” did not stop the shelling of the Zaporizhzhia region

In the Zaporizhzhia region, energy workers restored power to almost 5 thousand families whose homes were left without electricity due to Russian shelling on May 9-10. The regional energy company notes that damage to the networks was recorded even despite the “truce” declared by the Russians.

This was reported by the joint-stock company “Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo”.

According to the head of the company Andriy Stasevsky, seven new damages were recorded during May 10-11. Energy workers restored power supply in seven settlements of the Zaporizhzhia district and four in the Orikhiv region. Also, at the end of the week, power was restored again to Balabyne and Kushugum.

As of the morning of May 12, some consumers remained without electricity due to new shelling. In Orikhiv region, more than 1.6 thousand families have already recovered, about 1.4 thousand subscribers in Bilenki remain without electricity. Power engineers plan to complete the work by the end of the day, if the security situation allows.

In Zaporizhzhia region, one person died and two more were injured as a result of Russian shelling on May 10. 36 settlements in Zaporizhzhia, Vasylivka and Polohivka districts were under fire.
