Two car showrooms were destroyed: the consequences of the Russian attack on Kyiv

The new year 2024 began with a massive attack by the Russian Federation on the capital of Ukraine. The strikes damaged civilian infrastructure and several car dealerships.

A fire broke out from the debris of the missiles on an area of 300 square meters. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, but the damaged gas pipeline and water pipe prevented them from fighting the fire.

The car dealership and 29 cars that were parked nearby burned down. In total, more than 60 cars were destroyed in the capital on January 2.

According to chairman Vitaliy Klitschko, as of 1:00 p.m., 50 victims of the Russian attack on the city are known, unfortunately, among the victims is a 2-year-old child.

The attack on the capital of Ukraine on January 2, 2024 became the most massive since the beginning of the full-scale war. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi in his address.

On the second day of the new year, the Russians fired 99 missiles of various types at Kyiv, of which 72 were shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces and 35 “Shakheds”.
