Two elderly people injured as a result of shelling of Kherson region – prosecutor’s office

Two elderly people were injured as a result of artillery shelling of Kherson, in connection with the attacks of Russian troops on settlements of Kherson region, law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes.

“Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson region prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the facts of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the press service of the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office reports on the Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, on December 24, 2025, Russian military personnel carried out attacks on settlements of Kherson region using cannon and rocket artillery, as well as drones of various types.

As of 17:30, two elderly people were injured as a result of artillery shelling of Kherson. Private and apartment buildings, as well as vehicles, were damaged.
