Two energy workers died at the Ukrenergo substation in the Odesaregion due to an attack by the Russian Federation

As a result of a massive attack by the Russian Federation on November 17, two energy workers – employees of a substation of the national energy company “Ukrenergo” in Odesa region – were killed.

According to the company’s message on the Telegram channel, these are Dmytro Kaminnyi and Maksym Shargorodskyi, who were 41 and 44 years old.

Kaminnyi worked at Ukrenergo for 16 years and was the dispatcher of one of the substations where he died today. He is survived by a ten-year-old daughter.

Shargorodsky acted as a dispatcher. With the beginning of the war, he was mobilized, and then returned to the energy industry. A fourteen-year-old daughter was left without a father.

“I sympathize with the families and friends of the victims. It always hurts to lose people. But a sudden death from missiles is an even worse loss. We will always remember our colleagues who died while performing their professional duties. This is our common pain, and not only energy companies, and the common one – the state. I hope the world will finally make the aggressor answer for every life taken,” said the acting chairman Oleksiy Brecht of the board of “Ukrenergo”.
