Two people were killed and 14 were injured in the Russian attack on Poltava, including 6 children

On the evening of June 20, the Russian army attacked Poltava with two ballistic missiles.

As of the morning of June 21, 2 people were known to have died: the body of one man was found under the rubble, and the second man died from his injuries in the hospital. 14 civilians were injured, including six minors.

The victims were hospitalized.

The strikes also damaged warehouses and cars of two companies. The blast wave shattered windows and balconies of nearby residential buildings.

The investigation reclassified the criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (commitment of a war crime that caused the death of people).

Under the procedural leadership of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the pre-trial investigation is conducted by the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Poltava region.
