Ukrainian state foreign broadcasting channels suffered from the Russian missile attack on Kyiv

On the night of April 6, as a result of the Russian ballistic attack on Kyiv, the buildings in which, after the shelling on February 12, the editorial offices of the channels of the state enterprise “Multimedia Platform of Foreign Broadcasting of Ukraine” – FREEDOM, “Dim”, UATVEnglish, The Gaze, UATVEspañol, UATVArabic, UATVPortuguês, digital editorial office, and service departments were located were significantly damaged. Employees of the State Enterprise “MPIU” were not injured.

As a result of the Russian missile strike, the new newsroom of the FREEDOM TV channel was destroyed, as well as the premises in which a renovated studio was built after the shelling on February 12. Currently, FREEDOM continues to broadcast from a backup studio. Also damaged were the premises in which the international editorial office was located after the February attack (digital platforms UATVEnglish, The Gaze, UATVEspañol, UATVArabic, UATVPortuguês), the editorial office of the TV channel “Dim”, broadcast equipment, office premises, and the premises of the digital editorial office.
