VARUS warehouse destroyed in Dnipro after missile attack: possible delays in deliveries

On the night of May 20, a Russian ballistic missile hit the civilian infrastructure of the city of Dnipro, destroying the warehouse complex of the logistics company UVK. This facility is a long-time partner of the well-known VARUS supermarket chain, and it was there that the company’s products were stored. This was reported by the VARUS press service.

Due to the large-scale destruction and fire, the elimination of the consequences of which lasted more than 9 hours, the retailer warns of possible temporary delays in the supply of individual product items on store shelves. Despite the serious consequences of the Russian strike, the supermarket chain continues to operate smoothly.

Due to the consequences of the attack, temporary delays in the supply of individual items are possible, but we continue to work. We express our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and everyone who suffered as a result of the attack. We are holding on. We continue to work,” the company noted.

As a result of the night shelling of a civilian warehouse in Dnipro on May 20, two people died and six more were injured, three of whom are currently in hospitals in serious condition. At the arrival site, municipal services and rescuers continue to clear the rubble.

On May 6, 2026, the Russian army had already attacked the VARUS food warehouses.
