War crimes: Belarus sent deported Ukrainian children to military training

The Belarusian authorities sent a group of Ukrainian children deported by the Russians to study in the military.

It is noted that 35 children from the Russian-occupied eastern Ukrainian city of Anthracite were sent to Mogilev, Belarus. There, as the state TV channel “Belarus 1” reported, they were taught how to behave in extreme situations. The children were placed in a sanatorium, and they are being looked after by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the country.

On the footage of Belarusian state television, released on January 10, Ukrainian children can be seen wearing the Russian flag sewn onto their sleeves. The program reported that the Belarusian military conducts “survival training in emergency situations” for children.

Ukrainian children are being “subjected to re-education and indoctrination” to make them pro-Russian, said Pavlo Latushko, the former Minister of Culture of Belarus, who provided the International Criminal Court with evidence of Lukashenka’s alleged involvement in the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children. According to Latushka, there are cases when Ukrainian children were taken to Belarus, and then to Russia, where they were given up for adoption.
