On the night of September 28, the Russians launched another massive combined attack on Ukraine. The enemy used strike drones and simulator drones, raising the remnants of strategic aviation that can still fly into the sky — a total of six Tu-95MS and two Tu-160s with Kh-101 missiles, as well as the remnants of the Black Sea Fleet with Kalibr cruise missiles. The occupiers also raised MiG-31Ks and launched Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported updated data on destruction and fires in the capital. As of now, the death toll in Kyiv is 4 people.
A five-story building was destroyed in the Solomyanskyi district — the body of a 12-year-old girl was freed from the rubble, three people were rescued. One person was injured.
Two people died in the building of the Institute of Cardiology. SES workers rescued 5 people. A two-story non-residential building caught fire; a warehouse and a private house were damaged, rescuers reported.
Head of Kyiv City Administration Vitaliy Klitschko reported that in Solomyanskyi district, a fire broke out at a gas station due to falling debris.
In Holosiivskyi district, a private one-story house was hit, causing partial destruction of the roof and wall. Another household was damaged and caught fire, but there were no casualties.
According to the SES, in the Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, Petropavlivska Borshchahivka suffered a devastating blow – the street was almost completely destroyed. A residential complex suffered significant damage. SES rescuers are working at the scene of the tragedy, continuing to sort out the rubble and eliminate the consequences.
Two parked cars caught fire in the Dniprovskуі district. The fire has been extinguished, there are no injuries.
It also became known that a children’s educational institution building was damaged in the Darnytskyi district of the capital.
