The complete failure of the Russian troops in defending Kursk region forced the Command of the Russian occupation troops to set up a farce provocation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP – so lame that even the deaf and blind IAEA will never believe Russia’s version of the events. But they don’t even need anyone to believe them.
Amid their own panic over Ukraine’s raid in Kursk region, the Russians want to make the Ukrainians and the whole world panic, too. Thick smoke over the NPP intuitively awakens internal fears and, until official explanations emerge of what is happening there, this fear pulsates and generates its own vision of events. That’s what the enemy wants – to play its game in this distorted media space.
In addition, the Russians are trying to blackmail the whole world by demonstrating how unpredictable they are, hinting at readiness to blow up the NPP if something goes in breach of their war plan. But this is the same farcical bluff as that fire at the NPP. Although, the fact remains in place that the very presence of invaders at the facility is an international problem. However, the international community, including the IAEA, has not yet employed even half of the levers that would significantly limit Russia’s capabilities in the field of nuclear energy.
